Interesting article published in India on gerd and eh treatment suggesting "that the length of treatment of protozoal infection should not be less than one month and not for three or 7 days as suggested in western text books." This study claims successful treatment with 1-2 months of metronidazole, though I can't see the dosage used. Anyone try taking an antibiotic long term besides iodoquinol for 20 days? Any thoughts?

I am sure they are closer to the treatment length than Western Med - some recommendations say as little as 3 days which seems absurd  -   another factor would be with the sole use of metronidazole (Flagyl) in which in some variants of e histo can have resistance to, so perhaps if the right drug combination would be used then a shorter course could be administered.
